Pest management for cut flowers

This fact sheet is such a treasure, written with Nick Volesky and Mair Murray of USU’s IPM team. The fact sheet details applying IPM concepts to cut flower crops for sustainable management. There has not been much research with cut flowers as crops, so we had to balance depth with general principles.

We then identify the top 10 insect and related (non-disease) pests - identification of the buggers and a visual ID of their damage - and their management with cut flowers: when to leave them, when to act, and how. This is an awesome guide in itself that my lab will be using, and a terrific taste of what is to come with our detailed Cut Flower Production Guide, where we can go into more of these creatures.
